This information is presented as a public service. The objective is to provide information to better understand the voter turnout and election results for President of the United States in the state of Georgia.
The file includes the 2014-2018 American Community Survey (ACS) citizen voting age population (CVAP) demographic estimates for each county in Georgia. It includes the Georgia Secretary of State (SOS) voter registration data by race and ethnicity for each county. And, it also includes the Georgia SOS 2020 election results for the President of the United States (POTUS) contest for every county in the Peach state. [In the process of gathering this data, I found out that detailed voter turnout data by race and ethnicity is provided by the Georgia SOS for each county. However, the data for the 2020 election was not available at the time the analysis was conducted.]
The file includes three data tables on separate sheets. On one sheet, the data table is presented with the counties sorted by alphabetical order. In another sheet, the data table is sorted by the percent of White registered voters in each county. Lastly, in another sheet, the data is presented by the percent of Black/African American registered voters in each county.
NOTE: Any calculation errors appearing on the provided data tables were made by the author and not the ACS or the Georgia Secretary of State.
